Progetto MIT
L’IIS CREMONA, per il corrente anno scolastico, ha aderito al progetto GLOBAL TEACHING LABS, per l’insegnamento di discipline scientifiche in lingua inglese, in collaborazione con il MIT di Boston.
Il Progetto prevede che due studenti del MIT di Boston svolgano, in collaborazione e compresenza con i docent curriculari, lezioni di matematica, fisica e scienze naturali in alcune classi del biennio e del triennio del Liceo Scientifico, sia in aula che in laboratorio.
Il Progetto consente di offrire agli student del Liceo Scientifico una significative esperienza formativa, potenziando l’uso della lingua inglese ed al presonale docente l’opportunità di entrare in contatto con una metodologia didattica basata sull’approccio hands on.
L’iniziativa consente all’Istituto, inoltre, di raccogliere materiale didattico in lingua inglese, funzionale allo sviluppo della metodologia CLIL .
Su precisa che, su richiesta del MIT di Boston, ciascuna scuola ospitante il progetto deve garantire alloggio e vitto gratuito degli student, presso una famiglia disponibile ad ospitarli.
Si chiede quindi alle famiglie che volessero ospitare uno studente (o studentessa) di inviare una mail al referente del progetto malgioglio.antonino@iiscremona.it, indicando il tipo di ospitalità offerta (camera singola, camera condivisa con ragazzi dello stesso genere), presenza di animali domestici e ogni altra informazione rilevante, entro il 3 novembre 2021.
Successivamente all’assegnazione degli studenti da parte del MIT il referente provvederà a contattare le famiglie.

- 11-28 gennaio 2022: Lezioni dal lunedì al venerdì, sabato liberi.
- 29/30 gennaio 2022 Rientro in USA
Coperture assicurative e Vaccinali
- Al 1 settembre 2021, tutti gli studenti del MIT sono stati sottoposti a due dosi di vaccino Pfizer o Moderna e a tamponi bi-settimanali.
- Gli student del MIT di Boston, partecipanti al programma GTL, hanno le seguenti coperture assicurative:
- danni contro terzi,
- assicurazione sanitariaInternazionale

MISTI GTL Host Family Guidelines
Thank you for offering to host a MISTI GTL student. Host families frequently report that they have a very positive experience with our students; similarly, MIT students find the homestay to be a valuable part of their GTL experience.
Please note that single male hosts must not host female students, and vice versa.
In addition, we ask that you:
– Provide a healthy household environment (i.e., no alcohol or drug problems, no abusive behavior of any kind)
– Provide a home environment free of sexual harassment and discrimination
– Be open to and accepting of, and provide a home environment where, students of different gender identity, race, ethnicity, national origin, socio-economic status, religious affiliation, sexual orientation or ability status, are safe from harm
– Provide clean, secure, and sanitary accommodations that meet local safety standards
– Share family meals. Please note: If student has any medically necessary dietary restrictions, you will be informed at the time of request for housing, and asked if you would be willing to accommodate them
– Provide students with their own room or a shared room, bed and linens (if room is shared, separate beds must be provided and roommate must be of the same gender, unless the host family and student are both receptive to gender-inclusive housing)
– Allow students to use bathroom, kitchen, common living spaces and laundry facilities
– Be willing, if appropriate, to give the student a set of house keys and/or room keys
– Let the student know in advance if there are smokers or pets living in the house
– Know who to contact in case of an emergency involving the student and be familiar with emergency procedures
